Inspiration Session - Solution Focused Conversation

A Solution Focused Conversation, based on Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) looks at what you hope to see happen in your life and identify your strengths, abilities, resources and relationships which may play a part. Our conversation may help you to re-interpret difficulties and build momentum toward a preferred way of living and a greater sense of wellbeing. Solution Focused conversations are not about solving problems, they are about building you up through questions so that you can deal with hard situations. The sessions are typically 45 minutes long and held at your house or mine or wherever you feel comfortable talking. If we can’t meet in person, phone or video face to face conferencing is available.

Solution Focused Living Companion Journal – A 7-Day Best Hopes Journey

You may wish to delve more deeply into using a Solution Focused approach in your life, in which case, a 7-day Companion Journal helps you practice, with questions to answer and a place to record your responses and observations.

Inspiration Cards

These cards contain Solution Focused questions which will help you focus on your best hopes, recognize them as they show up and notice the resources, skills and attributes that you are using to support yourself. Shuffle the cards at the beginning of the day, or any time you feel drawn to do so. Read the question on the card and answer it then and there or watch out for signs as you go about your day.

Personal Retreats

In home retreats in a country setting are under development. They will give individuals and couples such as mothers and daughters, friends, the opportunity to take time out and make space for the magic of solution focused living. Over the course of a weekend, there will be guided exercises and then time to work on those exercises. When you leave, you are set up for living in a different state of awareness, where instead of focusing on a problem, you look at what outcome you want from the situation and instead of looking for what is going wrong, you look at what is working well.
